SW Asia has a lot of physical geography. In the Arabian Peninsula there is the largest all-sand desert of the world, the Rub' Al-Khali (roob ahl KHAH lee) otherwise known as "Empty Quarter". Southwest Asia receives little rain. SW Asia also has mountainous places such as the Zagros Mountains, the Elbruz Mountains, and the Caucasus Mountains. It has two main plateaus, The Iranian, and Anatolian Plateaus.
